Cathryn F. Amey

Cathryn F. Amey, 76, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on February 5, 2024, at St. Luke’s – Warren Campus.

Born March 1, 1947, in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert Christy and Eve Bladderspiel Christy.

She had worked at Liberty Village in Flemington, NJ and previous to that, had been at Lipton Tea, also in Flemington, for 20 years as a fork lift driver. She was a graduate of Del Val Regional High School, Class of 1965.

She was the loving wife of Alan W. Amey, married in 1985, adored mother, grandmother, and great grandmother of; Michele McCarty, Robert McCarty, Alan W. Amey II, Robert Amey, deceased, and Matthew Amey. Grandchildren are; Jakob, Skye Blue, Caitlyn, Aaron, Kayden, Matty, Holly, Alan III, Zachary, Connor, Natalya, Elizabeth, Haylee, and Hunter and great grandson, Colton. Additionally, she is survived by brothers Daniel and James Christy, and sister, Diane “Dee” Strotz. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by brothers Robert and Charles Christy, and a sister, Dorothy Christy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ. There are no calling hours.  

Cathy’s light will forever illuminate the lives of those she touched, and her memory will be cherished for generations to come. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
