James C. Head Sr.

James C. Head Sr., 91, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on February 8, 2024, in Pen Argyl, PA.

Born July 23, 1932, in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late Harry and Lucille Head. He was predeceased by his wife, the late Virginia C. Person Head.

After serving in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War, he worked for Ingersoll Rand in Phillipsburg, as a machinist, for 30 years. He was a fan of bowling, golf, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and loved the casino. He was also a lifetime member of Citizens Hose in Easton, PA.

He is survived by his children; Jamie Henry, Richard Head, James Head Jr. and wife Linda, Douglas Head, Donna Warman and husband Dallas, Lori Benson and husband William, and Lisa Hamm. Additionally, he is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 6 – 8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The interment will be at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ.
