Kathryn H. Wallo

Kathryn H. Wallo, 82, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, surrounded by her family.

Born October 2, 1940, in Kingston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. Hicks and Florence Richards Hicks.

She was a graduate of Wilson HS and completed nursing school. Kathryn spent her lifetime taking care of others as a LPN and loving, caring friend. Kathryn was active with Forks Athletic Association and PTA. She has been a member of our Lady of Mercy for 60 years, where she served as Eucharistic Minister along with many other ministries. Kathryn cherished her family & friends. She and her husband lived by 4 words "for better-for worse".

Survivors are her husband, Stephen G. Wallo, with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage on October 7, 2022, and daughters; Diane L. Wallo and Joan W. Markus. She is also survived by a grandson, Louis S. Markus as well as 4 nieces, 5 nephews and their children. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was also predeceased by two brothers, Walter R. Hicks and John T. Hicks.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 9-10 am at Our Lady of Mercy, 132 S. 5th Street in Easton, PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. The interment will be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
