Richard L. Hosmer

Richard L. Hosmer, 74, of Forks Twp., Pa., passed away on August 31, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, PA.

It is with great heartbreak and devastation that we announce the passing of our hero, our dad. He was the husband that always took care of his wife. The father that always protected his kids. The Pop Pop that the grandkids looked up to, laughed with and adored.

Our dad grew up in Freemansburg, Pa and resided with his family for 45 years in Forks Township. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving on the Battleship, NJ. He also took great pride in being a steelworker at the Bethlehem Steel for over 36 years. He loved camping with his family and friends at 4 Seasons Campground for over 46 years, playing the slots in A.C., dancing the jitterbug, and watching his children and grandchildren at sports, awards and music performances.

Our hearts are absolutely broken, but we'll stay strong for our mom just like he would've wanted us to.

Although everything happened quick, he was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing, with all of us having multiple opportunities to hug him, and tell him how much he means to us.

Our dad is survived by his loving wife Susan Hosmer; his proud children Richie, Tiffany and Dustin, and his beautiful grandchildren Zachary, Devin, Kona, Avery, Keala, Clayson, and Violet; his sisters Denise, Rosalyn, and Louise; and many extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Hwy, Easton, Pa. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery with Military Honors.

Thank you for all of your love and support.
