Richard N. Bovino

Richard N. Bovino, 88, of Forks Township, PA, formerly of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away on June 3, 2023, at his residence.

Born December 19, 1934, in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret Bovino. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bovino was also predeceased by brothers Eugene and Joseph, and sister Marie.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, Richard went on to be a self-employed heating and cooling contractor in the Hillsborough, NJ area. Following that, he was employed at Stelton Coal and Feed in Edison, NJ. Being a jack-of-all-trades, he was always willing to help family, friends, and neighbors. He was an antique car enthusiast and a NASCAR fan, who enjoyed time with family. Richard was also an avid traveler, always up for a trip to the casino!

Survivors are, his wife, Catherine B. Polon Bovino, and children; Debra Rae and Douglas Richard, as well as grandchildren; Deanna Rae and Kacie Adele, and great grandchild, Tyler Jameson.  

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 5-7pm, at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
