Robert D. Hawk
Robert D. Hawk, 85, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away suddenly on March 26, 2024, at his residence.
Bob was the husband of Kathleen Pheiffer Hawk. They celebrated 60 years of marriage on February 8th. He was raised on the Reed Farm in Phillipsburg and enjoyed farming. In his younger days he qualified for the national drag race and won many trophies in the sport.
He retired after 36 years at Bell & Howell and treasured his friendships there. He and his wife spent winters in Florida but couldn’t wait to get home to see all his friends at Joe’s Steak Shop’s car shows. Bob was also a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1957.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Scott and wife Tanya, and granddaughters Brianna Hawk, Paige Dormann and husband Danny, and Victoria Hawk. He is also survived by brothers Doug Hawk and Larry Hawk and his wife Beverly. He was predeceased by his son Brian and two infant daughters, in addition to sisters Kathryn, Betty, and Jean, and brothers, Herman Hawk and Max Reed.
As Bob wished, his services will be private and are being handled by the Finegan Funeral Homes of Phillipsburg and Alpha.
