Thomas A. Jones
Thomas A. Jones, 88, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, passed away on September 11, 2023, in Lopatcong.
Born February 18, 1935, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Thomas Jones and Mildred Sumosky Norris. He was also predeceased by his wife, the late Ann Klein Jones, who passed in 2018.
After several years in the US Army, Tom would come to own his own real estate agency in Lopatcong Township for many years. He also played the guitar, sang, and was a member of contemporary choirs at local Catholic parishes.
He is survived by his children; Kathleen Reitz and husband John, Steven Jones and wife Laurie, and Kevin Jones and wife Jodi. Grandchildren are Jessica, Matthew, Lindsay, Bryan, Tyler, Kaitlyn, and Zachary. His great grandchildren are Ella, Cecelia, Nolan, Oliver P., Anthony, Dominic, Eden, and Oliver W. Additionally, he is survived by sisters, Barbara Taylo and Dorothy Whiting, and brothers, Richard and Edward Jones. He was also predeceased by a brother, the late Robert Jones.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 6-8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 830 5th Avenue in Alpha. The interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, also in Alpha.
