William H. "Bill" Fisk, III

William H. "Bill" Fisk, III, 97, of Wilson Borough, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

Born on June 11, 1926, in Easton, PA, Bill was the son of the late William H. Fisk, Jr. and Myrtle (Holjes) Fisk. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Marguerite “Peggy” (Meischeid) Fisk, who passed in 2015.

Bill was a proud veteran, serving during WW II in the US Navy. Bill owned and operated Fisk Camera Shop from 1951 to 1993, although he turned it over to his son Billy, he remained an integral part of the daily operation. He was proud to be part of Wilson High School’s class of 1945 and always enjoyed planning their many class reunions. Bill was inducted into the Wilson Area School District Hall of Fame in 2002 and was chosen to be the Grand Marshall of the Wilson Borough 75th Diamond Jubilee Parade, along with his wife, Peggy. On March 8, 2004 he was honored for his contributions of time and service with the renaming of Elements Field to “Fisk Field”. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and he loved the community and everyone in it.  He had a special gift of making everyone feel special, his warm smile will be greatly missed.

Bill is survived by his children, William "Billy" Fisk, IV, and his wife, Jane, of Palmer Township, PA and Barbara Ann Scattene, of Bethlehem, PA, his grandchildren; Jennifer (Scattene) Harding and her husband, James, Ben Fisk and his wife, Lindsay, Samantha Fisk and Mark Scattene, his great-grandchildren, Olivia Smith and Gwyneth Harding and his many nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and his parents, William was predeceased by his grandchildren, Andrew Scattene and Lauren Fisk.

A Viewing is scheduled for Monday, November 6, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial set for 10:30 AM the following day, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, PA. The interment will then follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Easton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the Fisk Family asks that you take your loved ones out and spend quality time with them, this is what meant the most to Bill.
