Alfred Godesky, Jr.

Alfred Godesky, Jr., 78, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his home on March 27, 2022.

Born on October 28, 1943 in Bayonne, NJ, he was a son of the late Alfred and Jean Godesky, Sr.

Alfred served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked for Roadway, Inc. for many years as a dock worker. He was a graduate of Bayonne High School. Alfred enjoyed cooking, and just being with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Kathryn Davis-Kelly along with his sisters, Maryann and Cheryl Godesky.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen Stoveken Godesky, of Phillipsburg, NJ, his children; Brian Godesky of Stewartsville, NJ, Maureen Faust, Theresa Kelly and James Kelly all of Phillipsburg, NJ. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Godesky of Point Pleasant, NJ, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Alfred's life will be held at a later date.
