Arthur W. Gobbi
Arthur W. Gobbi, 95, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, passed away on February 23, 2022, in Lopatcong Township, NJ.
Born January 26, 1927, in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late Dominick and Elizabeth Biagini Gobbi. He was also predeceased by his wife, the late Elizabeth Schoeneberger Gobbi, who passed in 2006.
Mr. Gobbi was a self-employed plumber in the Phillipsburg area for many years. He enjoyed boating, the New Jersey shore, and a ride that took him anywhere. Arthur was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Alpha, NJ.
He is survived by his daughters; Patricia Gobbi and Brenda Gobbi, both residing in Pohatcong Township, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by brothers; Hugo, Evo, Americo, and Aldo Gobbi, and sister, Clara Poch.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 8:30am to 9:30am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha. Funeral services will then begin at the funeral home at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 830 5th Avenue in Alpha, NJ. The entombment will be at St. Mary Mausoleum.
