Barbara J. Cappelletti

Barbara J. Cappelletti, 90, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. 

Born June 1, 1931 in Carpentersville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Rhoda (Reimel) Stamets. 

Barbara worked at Magnetic Winding and Iron Art.  She was a 1949 graduate of Phillipsburg High School.  She loved to play cards, bingo, and go to the casinos.

Barbara was a 50 year member of Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and served as a greeter and an usher. 

Surviving are two daughters:  Cathy Mason of Phillipsburg, and Lynn Alban and her husband Fred of California, and many nieces and nephews; also her extended family, the Beruta’s and the Kline’s.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Frank Cappelletti; son-in-law John Mason, sisters Grace Frederick, Arlene Sykos, Claire Shappell, Gertrude Woolf and Lois Zanks, and brothers Ken, George, Leon and Richard Stamets.

Calling Hours will be held at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM.  The Funeral Service will then be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church, 17 Greenwich Church Rd, Stewartsville, NJ.  The Interment will follow in the Greenwich Cemetery.
