Carol A. Sabo

Carol A. Sabo, 80, a lifelong resident of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on March 31, 2024 at St. Luke’s Warren Campus.

Carol was born on August 10, 1943 in Phillipsburg, a daughter of the late Leon and Lillian Pettit Harding.

She graduated from Phillipsburg High School class of 1961. She was a Girl Scout, a majorette in the band and volunteered as a candy striper. After graduation, she married and started a family.

For years, Carol worked for herself as a custom drapery creator. After that, she was a communications operator for the Phillipsburg and Lopatcong Police Departments. From there, she continued in communications with the New Jersey State Police until her retirement. She was an avid walker, enjoyed reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends and all her beloved neighborhood and family dogs.

Carol is survived by her children, Valerie and her husband, Donald of Palmer Twp., Jack and his wife AnnMarie of Belvidere, along with her grandchildren Alexandrea and her fiancée Ray, and Jake. Carol is also survived by her niece Dawn of Easton.  She was predeceased by her sister Judy and her nephew Doug.  

Family and friends are invited to gather from 10 am to 12 Noon on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St. Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Memorial Service at Noon.
