Carol Ann Pierson Beatty
Born July 27, 1939, in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Pauline Kopaciewicz Pierson. Carol was the wife of the late John H. Beatty, who passed away on March 17, 2017, their 55th wedding anniversary.
A graduate of Phillipsburg High School in 1957, she was president and treasurer of her class. Carol was employed by the former Easton National Bank & Trust, now Wells Fargo Bank, for 35 years, retiring in 1994. She also worked as a teacher’s aide in the Philipsburg School district for 5 years. Carol loved the outdoors, especially snow, skiing, bicycle riding, along with line dancing, crocheting and sewing. A member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg for over 65 years, she was also a lifetime member of the Poco and IR ski clubs, as well as the Phillipsburg Chapter of AARP.
Survivors are her brother, Carl Pierson and wife Barbara, of West Easton, PA, and sisters: Gwen Charles of Phillipsburg and Phyllis Montilone and husband Ralph, of Bethlehem Township, PA, along with nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service and burial will be held at the Greenwich Presbyterian Cemetery.
