Delmont “Peach” Asher Cole Sr.
Born January 12, 1961 in Phillipsburg, N.J. to the late Delmont “Peach” Cole and Betty “Kate” Bolmer Cole. Peach lived in or around Washington most of his life. He attended Warren County Vocational and Technical School. He was a truck driver with various companies as owner/operator, his last employment being New Village farms. He also worked the Warren County farmer fair at the back gate for more than 30 plus years. He was best known for saying “yup yup up the hill.”
He was a life member of the Hampton Fire Company, past member of the Franklin Township Fire Company, past member of the Hampton Squad and is a member of the Warren County Grange and the Harmony Lions Club. He was an avid dirt racing fan and NASCAR fan all of his life.
Survivors are his wife, Stephanie Woolf Cole and his children: Peachy Cole Jr. and wife Gina, of Belvidere, N.J., Daryle Cole and wife Heather, of Alpha, N.J., Paige Marie of Phillipsburg, N.J., and Caybree, at home. His stepsons are John Nunn Jr. and wife Missy, of Oxford, N.J., Jimmy Nunn and wife Nicole, of Phillipsburg, N.J., and cherished grandchildren: Trevor, Mara, Hannah, Jolene, Cameron, Jack, Braelynn, Hunter, Colton, Morgan, and Paitlyn Asher. Also his pets: Ricky, Lucy, and Jake. He will also be missed by his daily 10am wake up calls from his best buddy Will Spencer. He will also be very much missed by cousins and several great friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by pets Dozer and Roxy.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 4-7pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha, N.J. with a Fireman’s Service at 7pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 11:00am. The interment of ashes will take place immediately following the service at the Montana Cemetery in Harmony Township, N.J.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stephanie Cole for final funeral arrangements or to a fund for Peach and Stephanie’s 6 year old daughter, Caybree Dawne Marie Cole.
