Edwin M. Savacool Sr.
Born on March 17, 1924, in Phillipsburg, N.J., he was the son of the late Randal W. Savacool and Lavina Stunk Savacool.
He served in the US Army during World War II in the 2nd Armored Division in the European Theater where he earned the Purple Heart. Following the war Mr. Savacool was employed at Ingersoll Rand in Phillipsburg, working as a machinist and tool maker. He was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church in Whitehall, PA.
Mr. Savacool is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mary Jane Koepler Savacool, and children; Edwin M. Savacool Jr. and wife Linda, Patricia Ann Queitzsch and husband Jeffrey, Gregory Savacool , and Mark Savacool and wife Wen-Shih. He is also survived by grandchildren; Matthew Savacool, Christa Savacool, Spencer Gruber, Justin Queitzsch, Bronson Savacool, and Tiffany Kinney, as well as 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Mr. Savacool was predeceased by a brother, the late Randal W. Savacool Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 from 9:45AM to 10:45AM in the Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 7th St. Whitehall, Pa. 18052, followed by a service at 11. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Allentown, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bible Fellowship Church.
