George Luis Alicea, Jr.

George Luis Alicea, Jr., 74, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, and currently of Lopatcong, NJ, is resting peacefully after passing away on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

Born on September 19, 1947, in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Jorge and Rita (Sullivan) Alicea.

George was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had an avid love of horses, sports, birds, and music. He enjoyed family vacations to the Shore, taking a dip in the ocean, and being in nature.

George is survived by his wife, Tata, his daughter, Jeannie, his sons; Angel, Benjamin and Luis, his granddaughters; Jessica, Alissa, Andrea and Angelica, his great granddaughter; Ariana, his sister, Margie and his nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, George was predeceased by his brother, Jaime.

A Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ, with a Prayer Service to directly follow.
