James S. DeBosh

James S. DeBosh, 66 of Phillipsburg, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 after many years of battling congestive heart failure.

He was born in Trenton, NJ on May 14, 1956. He was a Phillipsburg High School graduate, attended Rider University, and received his JD from Valparaiso University.

Jim was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party. He was elected as Freeholder of Warren County in 1999 where he remained until 2002. He continued his political work throughout his life, helping democratic candidates throughout the state. Jim was an avid sports fan, and loved watching the Yankees and Notre Dame.

He is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Rose DeBosh. He is survived by his daughters, Kaitlyn (Matthew) Chioffe and Courtney DeBosh, and his stepson, Ian Slater. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August, 1, 2022 at Saint Philip and Saint James Catholic Church, 430 South Main St., Phillipsburg, N.J. at beginning at 10AM.  Interment to follow at Saint Philip and Saint James Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Finegan Funeral Home to help offset the cost of the funeral expenses.
