Janet Mae Cauley

Janet Mae Cauley, 85, of Forks Township, PA, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on October 31, 2021 surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 23, 1936 in Paterson, NJ, to the late Albert Homwey and Phoebe (Altif) Zirpoli.

Janet worked for Lafayette College, Foster Wheeler, Northampton County Children and Youth, Easton Area School District and ARC of Warren County. She enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, especially to the jersey shore, dancing with her husband, and spending time with her family and friends. Janet also loved to cook, entertain, and make people feel welcome in her home.

She was a devout Christian; she attended the First Baptist Church, Phillipsburg, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Francis Patrick Cauley, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage. She is also preceded by her siblings, James Homwey and Lillian Shupenko.

Janet is survived by her children: Edward Cauley and his wife Jessica of Bethlehem, PA; Colleen Brooks and her husband Christopher of Pohatcong Township, NJ, Pamela Panto and her husband Donald of Catasauqua, PA; and Karen Koeller and her husband Michael of Phillipsburg, NJ; her sister Juliet Maino of Cliffside Park, NJ; and her grandchildren: William, Rachel and Edward Heffner, Kathryn, Zachary and Bradley Panto, Mason and Aedan Cauley. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews, and her granddog Jeb.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 6 P.M. to 9P.M. at The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Twp., Pa., and on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 10A.M. to 11A.M. Services will follow calling hours on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Forks Church Cemetery, Stockertown, PA.
