Jerry Alan Lewis

Jerry Alan Lewis, 70, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 10, 2021.

Born on May 6, 1951, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Clifford and Dorothy (White) Lewis.

After graduating from Warren Hills High School, Jerry worked as an auto mechanic at Karen Chevrolet. In the late 1970's he became the Owner Operator of Jerry's Service Station, in Stewartsville, NJ.  He always had a desire to drive a Tractor Trailer and went on to become the Owner Operator of D&N Trucking. Later in his career, as a Truck Driver, he work for Prime Inc. Prior to his retirement, in March of 2020, he worked for Hillwick and then for J B Hunt. Jerry was a proud member of the Stewartsville Volunteer Fire Company, in Stewartsville, NJ and was known to lend a hand to anyone in need, often stopping to assist motorists on the side of the road.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Ethel E. (Wilson) Lewis, his children; Patricia Lewis, Michele Cook and Nolan Thomas, his grandchildren; David, Amber and Mary, his great grandchildren; Aruby-Rose, Jace, Paisley and Hailee and his sister, Cathy Lewis.

Services are to be held privately.
