Joan Lynn Alberta Warman

Joan Lynn Alberta Warman, a longtime resident of Bethlehem Township, and a dedicated mother and grandmother, departed this world on Friday, October 22nd, 2021. She was asleep at her residence at the time of her passing.

Joan is survived by her children, Russell Dostal, of Washington, NJ and Michael Dostal, of Bangor, PA, as well as her multiple grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell C. Warman and Alberta A. Warman, both of Ewing Township, NJ, and her three older sisters -- Eleanor Jones, of Seaford, DE, Janet Quigley of Tempe, AZ, and Helen Warman, of Juneau, AK.

Joan was born on January 4th, 1954 in Trenton, NJ, and grew up in her family home in Ewing Township. She would graduate Ewing Township High School and later marry and welcome her first child, Russell Dostal, on March 6th, 1976. She worked continuously while raising her son, and would later re-marry and welcome her second son, Michael Dostal, on April 17th, 1984 after relocating to Denver, CO. Her children were Joan's most beloved inspiration and cause in life, although she would enjoy success as a realtor in the Lehigh Valley in the 1990s.

Joan enjoyed photography, specifically nature and portrait compositions, and was an avid musician. She played piano and loved to sing, both in-and-out of key. She loved the Jersey Shore, where she spent many summers as a young woman in Ocean Beach, Lavallette, and Point Pleasant, which she regarded as a second home. She also loved the Rocky Mountains and was a fan of the Colorado Rockies baseball team.

She was a devoutly religious woman who dedicated herself to her Christian faith, though she did not remain a member of one specific church in her latter years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her spirit and sense of humor is preserved in her children and grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am on Thursday, October 28th, 2021 at the Washington Cemetery, 14 Cemetery Hill Road in Washington, NJ.
