John “Lippy" Lippincott, Jr.

John “Lippy” Lippincott, Jr., (66) of Bushkill Township died, just after midnight on August 4th.

He went out like a Rock star. He was feeling no pain with his head in the stars. Lippy had 3 women by his side to provide him comfort and love. Then on came Led Zeppelin, one of his favorite bands. At the end of the song there is a killer drum solo. Then as the drums faded out, so did John Lippincott Jr.

Lippy was born in Phillipsburg, NJ and graduated from Warren Tech. He liked to walk on the wild side and even hitchhiked across the country once with his good friend, Hag. He was into racing and mechanics. Lippy's true motorized passion though, is Harleys. Lippy found a career in which he took great pride. He was a Truck Driver for over 32 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #773. Lippy was also a true lover of music, specifically Rock-and-roll.

There was another softer side to Lippy that loved his pets Stroker, Jasper, Lili, Jack, Mazie & Dalton. They were all his babies. In more recent years you could see his face light up when he spoke of his Great-nephews and Great-nieces; Jaxon, Violet, Azalea, Mykaila, Brian Jr, McKenzie & Jack. Lippy loved to reminisce about the old times with the Fillmore North Gang, good times with Nixon & Linda or with Joe & Carol. Lippy loved his cousin Charlie Lippincott & wife Cathy and all their good times old and new. He has had so many friends over the years, cheers to you all! Lippy is survived by so many people who can tell tales of Lippy “Letting the good times roll". His sisters-in-law; Eileen & her husband Jeff, Debbie, Jo-Ann & Marilyn. Lippy’s sister Wanda Frisbie. Nieces and Nephews; Shannon & her husband Matt, Marcus, Jake, Matt, Brittany, Ryan, Johnny, Jacob, Jessie and Gerri and her husband Ben.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Virginia Lippincott, Brother Barney, Brothers-in-law John Frisbie and Nephew Brian.

Lastly, those 3 women who provided him comfort in his last moments on earth. His nieces Jacki & Jeana Winkleston who have been the surrogates for the children he never had. Lip took them in when they needed shelter, fed them when they were hungry and gave them s*** when they needed it. They thank you Lip. And of course, his wife of almost 30 years, Jerri (Mayer) Lippincott. There are no words to describe the level of commitment they have to each other. No matter how loud the music got, no matter how many days the road took him away, no matter how many bikes were in the driveway, when the dust settled they were always there for each other.

A Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 4 to 6 PM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ.
