Josephine D. Kovacs

Josephine D. Kovacs, 89, of Palmer Twp., Pa., passed away peacefully at her home on June 28, 2022. Born on March 27, 1933 in Bangor, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Josephine Cololilla Callie. Josephine was a homemaker for most of her life, and truly enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a graduate of Easton High School Class of 1951. Josephine was a longtime member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Twp., PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edward C. Kovacs Sr. in 2006, and by four sisters and one brother. Josephine is survived by her beloved children, Judy Kovacs of Wilson Borough, Pa., Ed Kovacs and his wife Kathy of Wilson Borough, Pa., and Chris Myers and her husband Forrest, of Easton, Pa., and by her companion, Nick Romeo. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Twp., Pa. The Finegan Funeral Home, Palmer Twp., Pa., has been entrusted with her arrangements.
