Kathleen E. (Halley) Mooney

Wife of James A. Mooney Jr., they celebrated 54 years of marriage in October 2019.  Kathy, or “Geen” as she was affectionately known to close friends and family, began her career at Alpha Portland Cement Company as an Executive Secretary until leaving to raise her daughter.  More recently, she worked for 30 years in the brokerage industry, retiring from Morgan Stanley, Allentown in 2011.

For many years, Geen was the secretary for the Easton High School Class of 1958, organizing many high school reunions throughout the years.  She was also active in the Allentown Central Catholic Band Parents Association in the late 1980’s.

In the past year, Geen stayed at Phoebe Home, Allentown, where she became a “regular” at resident meetings and activities, always with a laugh and a smile.  Geen will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
