Lois L. Brittain

Lois L. Brittain, 90, of Winter Garden, FL, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at home surrounded by family. Predeceased by her husband, Manley Brittain Jr. in 2005, they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage together.

Born August 24, 1931 in Easton, PA she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Mary (Breiner) Haney.

Lois loved nothing more than spending time and having fun with family. She celebrated her 90th Birthday in August with a big family party. Lots of nieces and nephews traveled to come celebrate with her and enjoy her special day. She also loved to make you laugh, and if you were lucky, you would receive a note, letter, or hand drawn card from her. She loved music, singing, and performing (despite being slightly tone-deaf). When her children were young, she had hats for each of them, and would march through the house with hats on, parading up to bed each night. The four great grandchildren each have their own hats and Lois regularly organized them in a parade. On vacations and holidays, she would bring her ‘play clothes’, she was quick to entertain everyone and, in some cases, demanded performances in return. The skits performed on cousin’s trips to Cocoa Beach were epic. One of her last wishes was to make sure that her delicious chocolate Christmas cookies were made for the family to enjoy.

Lois is a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden.

Lois is survived by son Manley Brittain III (wife, Brenda) of Kissimmee, FL, daughter Diane Schneck (husband, Glenn) of Winter Garden, FL; four Grandchildren, Manley Brittain IV, Glenn Schneck Jr. (wife, Denise), Niles Brittain, and Christie Schneck; four Great Grandchildren, Cassidy and Jessica Brittain, Emily and Abigail Schneck; siblings Jerome (Pat) Haney and Beverly Stem (husband, Jim); and countless beloved nieces and nephews.   In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by two sons, Gary and James and siblings Jane Segreaves, Mary Todaro, Geraldine Deemer, John Haney and Rose Ribaudo.
