Louise C. Serafino George

Louise C. Serafino George, 95, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on November 24, 2022.  She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

Louise was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on November 30, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Luigi and Rose Christina Serafino.

She was the loving and devoted wife of Joseph F. George, whom she loved dearly and shared 76 years of a wonderful marriage.  Louise and Joseph did everything together and when he passed on September 12, 2022 she needed to join him in heaven.

Louise was a quiet beautiful sophisticated woman. Her beauty shined from the inside out. She was an extremely giving person and always available to help her family. She loved her family and her home dearly, which gave her great pleasure. But the greatest joy of all was being with her loving husband, children and grandson. She also enjoyed the beauty of flowers and birds.

Louise retired from Lisa Marie Sportswear, where she was a sewing machine operator.  She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School Class of 1945.  She was a member of St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg.  She was also a member of the AARP and Over 50’s Club of Phillipsburg.

Louise is survived by her daughter Anita L. Falvey, husband Charles; her son Wayne S. George, companion Nancy Repko; her grandson, Matthew W. George all of Phillipsburg.  In addition to her husband Joseph, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony Serafino and Albert Serafino; four sisters, Angelina Febbo, Mary DePaul, Josephine Ward and Lillian Rossi and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be 10:00am on Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 S. Main St. Phillipsburg. The interment will be at SPSJ Cemetery in Greenwich Twp.
