Margaret M. “Peg” Maurer

Margaret M. “Peg” Maurer, 84, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2021.

Born on August 6, 1937, in Mount Carmel, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Arnoldin) Porzi.

Margaret was a loving wife and mother, who raised two beautiful sons. She was known for her sass, strong will and her strong Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband, Derl H. Maurer, Sr., her sons; Derl Maurer, Jr., of Bethlehem, PA, and James Maurer, of Schwenksville, PA, her grandson, Kyle Maurer and her many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her eight sisters and brothers.

A Viewing is scheduled for Monday, November 1, 2021, from 5 to 7 PM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Service is set for 10 AM the following day, Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at the funeral home. The interment will then be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, PA.
