Maria A. Kovatch

Maria A. Kovatch  passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Louis A. Kovatch, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

Born April 15, 1946, in Santo Stefano Di Camastra, Sicily, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Louise Nigrelli Lisinicchia.

She was a 1964 graduate of Phillipsburg Catholic High School. She was employed at The Journal of Commerce in Phillipsburg for eleven years. She later worked for the former Easton Hospital for over twenty years, retiring in 2009

Maria is survived by her devoted husband Lou; daughter Melissa and son Gregory; sisters Josephine Lisinicchia and Charlene Lutz, wife of Paul Lutz, all of Palmer Township.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 8:15 am to 9:45 am at The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Twp., Pa., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Palmer Twp., Pa.  The internment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Alpha N.J.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN.
