Marie J. Forini

Marie J. Forini, age 93, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2021, at St. Luke’s Anderson Campus.

Marie was born in New Village, NJ, on June 16, 1927.  She was the daughter of Mariano and Sara Carnali DelSole.  She was predeceased in death by her husband, Mario, on January 7, 1988.

Marie graduated from Washington High School’s class of 1945. After high school she was employed at Ingersoll-Rand Company until retirement, she was also employed part-time at Piazza’s Fruit and Vegetable Stand.  She lived in New Village for 59 years before moving to Lopatcong Township. She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Surviving are three daughters: Marianne Gruver and husband Charles of New Village, NJ, Elena Hayslett and husband Eric of San Jose, CA and Diane Forini of Lopatcong Township, NJ,  grandsons: Shawn Golden, and wife Catherine of New Village, NJ and Chad Gruver and wife Ashley of Bethlehem, PA, great grandchildren: Brendan, Ashley, Rowan and Hannah, step-grandson, Gage, brother, Richard Carnali, Sr. and wife Grace of Palmer Township, PA, also a niece Stephanie McGlynn and husband Ed, and a nephew Richard Carnali, Jr and wife Lynda.
