Mary Lou Cogan
Mary Lou Cogan, 69, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away at her residence on July 19, 2022, surrounded by family.
Born in Phillipsburg on March 16, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Marshall Storm and Shirley Baker Storm.
She was a Teacher’s Aide with the Phillipsburg School District Early Childhood Program for 20+ years. Prior to that, Mary Lou was with OPT Industries, also in Phillipsburg. A graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1971, she enjoyed spending time with family, especially at the Casino.
Survivors are her husband, David S. Cogan, and a daughter, Danielle Cogan Geaney and her husband Casey. Grandchildren are Liam and Graham Geaney. Additionally, Mary Lou is survived by a brother, Charles “Bo” Storm, and sister, Ruth Cahill. She was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn Morris and Kay Pierce, as well as brothers, John “Mickey” Storm and Sonny Storm.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 6-8pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha, NJ. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be at the United Presbyterian Cemetery, also in Alpha.
