Mary M. Fourney

 Mary M. Fourney, 97, of Bethlehem Twp., Pa., passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022 at Country Meadows, Bethlehem.

Born on August 9, 1925 in Williamsport, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Anna O'Connor McLaughlin.

Mary was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of St. Jane's Catholic Church, Palmer Twp., Pa., was involved in the St. Jane's women group, was an avid reader, and was an enthusiastic Bridge player and Canasta player. Mary was a member of the U.R.W. Club of Palmer Twp. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Leonard W. Fourney, Jr., who passed away in 2003, along with her deceased beloved grandson, Christopher Mowad.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Anne Mowad and her husband, Michael of Kutztown, Pa., and John Fourney and his wife Denise of Easton, Pa., along with her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Sean and Nathaniel Fourney and Melissa Volcskai. She was also survived by her great-grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew Fourney and Adam and Anna Volcskai.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Twp., PA. Interment will follow in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., Pa.
