Mickey Glynn, sixty-nine, of Easton, PA. Mickey passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 16, 2022, after a seven-year battle with colon cancer. He was in home hospice care since mid-April and surrounded by so much love and support from family, friends, and neighbors.
Born on January 9, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, Mickey was the son of the late Thomas Glynn and Catherine Glynn (nee-Ollquist), and the third of fourteen siblings.
Mickey was a tough Brooklyn boy with a heart of gold and a deep sense of humor. He was an avid sports fan, playing basketball in his younger years and golf thereafter. He had a large circle of friends and family and touched so many people over the years. Mickey was a devoted father and husband and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He filled our days with laughter and fun and lit up every room he was in. Everyone who knew him has a Mickey story. He was also well known for giving out the best nicknames.
Mickey worked as a Gold Trader on the Commodities Exchange (COMEX) in the World Trade Center (WTC) for over 20 years. He lived through the WTC bombing in the nineties and the 9/11 attack in 2001. His exposure during and post 9/11 resulted in a diagnosis of colon cancer in 2015.
Mickey is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter Mary C and siblings Thomas, Andrew, Joseph, Brendan, Catherine, Monica, John, Matthew, and Martin. He was predeceased by his brothers Gerard, Gregory, and Patrick and most recently, his sister Marie.
We will miss you dearly Mickey, but you will live in our hearts forever.
