Morgan Lee Whitebread, 65, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 3, 2022. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on February 16, 1956 to the late Luke and Ruth Whitebread.
Morgan was a kind and gentle man with a quiet, warm presence. He was a hard worker and a devoted employee, working over 36 years as a CPA at Crayola. He was always passionate about sports. He was a 1974 graduate of Crestwood High School in Mountain Top, PA where he was an All-Conference football and baseball player. He played baseball throughout his life, even into his senior years with the Lehigh Valley Men’s Senior Baseball League. He enjoyed volunteering with many organizations, including the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley and the YMCA. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
More than anything, Morgan loved and treasured his family. He was married to his high school sweetheart for 43 years. He delighted in his daughters and his grandchildren brought him great joy. We will forever miss his thoughtful and generous spirit, silly sense of humor, and faithful love and care.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne (McNulty) Whitebread; daughter, Leanne Kochenberger, and her husband, Justin; daughter, Lauren Whitebread; daughter, Maureen Witmer, and her husband, Andrew; grandchildren, Katherine Witmer, Benjamin Witmer, and John Witmer; brother, Luke Whitebread Jr., and his wife, Cathy; and sister, Lolly and her husband, Chuck.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a future date.
