Paul Wayne Heller, age 82, of Palmer Twp., PA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at St. Luke’s Anderson Hospital due to complications related to Covid19.
Paul, known as Wayne to many, was born March 2, 1938, in Phillipsburg, NJ, to the late Harold and Kathryn Heller. He is survived by family whom he loved with all his heart - his wife Peggie, children; Cheryl Heller, Vicky Hurley and her husband Robert, David Heller and his wife Melanie, James Heller and his wife Ledevica, as well as his grandchildren; Kelly, Samantha, Nicole, Hannah, Amelia, Joseph, and Jennie. Paul is also survived by his much loved stepchildren; Donna Keeler, Robert, Randy and Ricky Messenlehner, and step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife of 46 years, Beverly, brother Vincent and stepdaughter Wanda Catino.
Paul worked as a machinist at Ingersoll Rand Corporation for over 30 years. He was a Christian man who was devoted to God and enjoyed his time in study of the word of God. Paul believed II Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather, to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
Paul was always there to help in a time of need. He gave to others with a loving heart, whether it was his time or something he had that could help someone else. Paul enjoyed everything, from motorcycles, tennis, and bowling to old time gospel music. He especially enjoyed good conversation with family and his many friends. All who knew him loved him and he will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Paul’s friends for their well wishes and prayers at this time.
Due to Covid19, Paul has requested that there be no viewing and that only relatives attend the funeral. He asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Bethel Memorial Baptist Church in Palmer Township.
The service will be held at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Township, PA, on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 11 AM. Paul will be buried at Forks Church Cemetery, 4500 Sullivan Trail, Stockertown, PA.
