Richard L. Greene
Richard Greene, of Lopatcong Twp., NJ, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2023. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Harold and Josephine Greene on December 10, 1954.
Rich was a parishioner at Saints Philip and James Roman Catholic Church where he was a lector and member of the Building and Grounds Committee. He served as a member and President of the Lopatcong Board of Education for several years and coached multiple local athletic teams in town. Rich was as an electrical engineer and was the Director of Facilities at Sanofi until his retirement in 2017.
Rich is survived by his loving wife Sara (Rovi) of 42 years, their beloved children: son, Eric Greene and his wife Jessica, and daughter, Jessica Diehl and her husband Jesse. He was an adoring PopPop to his grandchildren: Abigail, Andrew, and Jack.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in his memory be made to Miller-Keystone Blood Center in Bethlehem or Saints Phillip and James Roman Catholic Church in Phillipsburg.
Viewing hours will be held on Monday July 31, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm and on Tuesday August 1st from 8 to 9 am at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 am at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Greenwich Twp., NJ.
