Robert E. Bartholomew, Jr.

Born on Aug. 4, 1969, in Devens, MA, he was the son of Robert E. Bartholomew Sr., and the late Betty Rissmiller Bartholomew.

He was a United States Army veteran. He was employed as a dispatcher with the Phillipsburg Police Department. Among the things he loved and cherished most was his family, especially his grandchildren, he held them closest to his heart followed by his animals. He was a man that could light up a room and turn even the saddest moments into at least brief laughter and smiles. He would help anyone who needed him and with his wide range of skill sets was more than capable of doing so, both tech-savvy and handyman and everything in between.

During his lifetime, he gave back to the community with volunteering with Hook & Ladder Fire Co., Phillipsburg Emergency Squad as an EMT, Garden State Underwater Recovery Unit, and PAL. To say he will be loved and missed wouldn't hold a candle to feelings his loved ones will surely share.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lori Strahle Bartholomew; his father, Bob; his children, Codey Bartholomew, at home, and Shaun Crosson, of Maryland. He is also survived by his siblings, Sherry, Dawn, Brad and his wife, Ann Marie; and his sister-in-law, Jamie. Additionally, he is survived by his loving grandchildren, Braelynn and Tristan, along with his nieces and nephews, Amber, K.C., Corinne, Keely, Alexis, Megan, Cloe, P.J., Emma, Brandon, Blase, Jess, and John.

The Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg, NJ, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
