Ronald F. Carroll

Ronald F. Carroll, aged 91, died peacefully at home on Friday, August 11, 2023, in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania surrounded by family in his final days.  Ronald was born on March 2, 1932, to Margaret and Owen Carroll.  He is survived by his younger brother John Carroll and predeceased by his brother Eugene and sisters, Alice, and Patricia.

Ronald was born in Jersey City where he spent his childhood years and attended Snyder High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as a Westfield, NJ police officer. He later became an executive assistant to the President of First National State and Mutual Benefit Life.

An avid fan of football, some of his happiest days were watching Westfield High School football games. He enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey Shore, traveling and horse racing at Monmouth Park.

Ronald is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Alice (Seamon) Carroll, daughter Noreen Crowley (Robert), sons Mark Carroll (Deborah), Brian Carroll, daughter Suzanne Holup (George), 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Ronald is also survived by his previous wife Joan Carroll, and several nieces and nephews.

The Carroll family will welcome friends and family to gather for visitation and remembrance from 9:00am till 10:00am on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer, Pa., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, Pa. Interment will follow at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA.
