Sandor "Alex" Gal

Sandor "Alex" Gal, 76, of Alpha, NJ, passed away on August 21, 2021, at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on April 14, 1945, in Mako, Hungary, son of the late Imre and Ethel Gere Gal.

He worked as a welder at Interstate Iron Works in Whitehouse, NJ, before his retirement. He also was previously employed by George Macher Welding. He served in the Army in Hungary. Sandor enjoyed cooking, watching sports, and the history channels, along with the game show network. He was a fan of the New York Giants. He was a member of the Citizen's Hose Company in Easton.

Sandor is survived by his wife, Ida Farkas Gal; his sons, George Gal and his fiancee, Jennifer, of Alpha, NJ; Sandor "Alex" Gal and his wife, Sharon, of Pohatcong Twp., NJ; along with his grandchildren, Mason, Jack, Szofia, Elliana, Savanah and Kellen.

Calling hours will be held for family and friends from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at The Finegan Funeral Home, 924 2nd Ave., Alpha, NJ.
