Shirley M. Vegh
Shirley M. Vegh, 86, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on December 10, 2022.
Born on July 22nd, 1936 in Easton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Bessie Cummings Storm. She was the wife of the late Julius “Ted” Vegh, who passed away in 2019.
Shirley was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School Class of 1954, and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Phillpsburg.
Shirley is survived by her son Theodore “Ted” Vegh and his wife Shelley, and daughter Trisha Vegh. She is also survived by; her sister Joan Schrantz; three grandsons Rick and wife Meg, Justin, Zachary and wife Andrea; one granddaughter Julie Miller; three great-grandsons Andrew Payton, Julius Theo, Shane; and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her sister Betty Stocker and brothers William “Sonny” Storm and Robert “ Bob” Storm.
A viewing hour will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2022 from 11 am to 12 noon with a service following at 12 noon at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 278 Chamber St., Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
