Shirly Courter

Born on January 28, 1943 in Bloomfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Charlotte Peters Shaw.

Shirly was a homemaker for most of her life. She was devoted to her family. She loved her garden, fish pond, and loved the holidays, especially decorating her home. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Courter, whom passed away in 2013, along with her siblings, Jackie and Dottie Shaw.

Shirly is survived by her children; Joseph Courter, of Bloomsbury, NJ, Doreen Wargo of N. Fort Myers, FL, Sherry Conrad of Hellertown, Pa., Cathy Courter of Phillipsburg, NJ, Sue Courter of Easton, Pa., and Laurie Courter-Barton of Spring Twp., Pa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Bryan, Danny, Ciera, J.J., Hannah, Eddie, Tommy and Joe, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 11AM to 1PM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Memorial Service at 1PM.
