Spencer Simon Rosenberg

It is with great sadness the family of Spencer Simon Rosenberg announces his peaceful passing at home on October 10, 2022 at the age of 90.

Spencer was born in New York City and grew up in Westwood, NJ. In his early years, he was a Freemason and served for Army Intelligence during the Korean War. After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, he would eventually operate the family business, Royal Fireplace Stores, formerly in Westwood.

He loved to dance and would meet his loving wife at the Roseland Ballroom. Spencer was a movie and television enthusiast who rarely missed an episode of Jeopardy. He was a dedicated family man with a passion for dining out in fine restaurants, antique hunting, and would rarely say no to a poker game or playing Blackjack in a casino.

Spencer will be forever remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Adele Rosenberg, son, Bradley Rosenberg  (Anna), daughter, Lynn Kestecher (Barry), five grandchildren, Matthew and Luca Rosenberg; Brett, Craig, and Lacey Kestecher.

Spencer will be reunited with his father, Jacob Rosenberg, mother, Lillian Hirschbaum Rosenberg, and step-mother, Louise Rosenberg.

The family gratefully thanks the staff of St. Luke's Hospice who worked so hard to make the final months easier for Spencer.

In keeping with his nature, burial services will be private for immediate family. Spencer will be laid to rest at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.

Those who so desire may make a memorial donation in memory of Spencer to the American Cancer Society.
