Susan P. Zwolinski

Susan P. Zwolinski, 84, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her family, on Monday, April 25, 2022.

Born on October 14, 1937, in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret (Smith) Nehila. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1989.

Susan was known for her devotion to her family, her family was her life and she cherished every moment she got to spend with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Susan also loved to garden and host parties at her home, her Christmas Eve event was always very special.

Susan is survived by her children; Nancy Laskey (Steven), Robert Zwolinski (Laura), Milissa Byrom (David), Sharon Bender (Bill) and Allison Maloy, her grandchildren; Brian Laskey (Destiny), Peter Laskey (Emma), Ed Zwolinski, Eric Zwolinksi, Joseph Zwolinski, Sarah Ankrom (Justin), Rachael Sedei (Kurt), Hannah Byrom, Emily Eisenberg (Dan), Hillary Waterman (Rob), Jillian Hoernle (Tim), Michael Duffy (Samantha), Jared Duffy and Shaun Maloy, her great grandchildren; Sydney Ankrom, Quinn Ankrom, Isaac Sedei, Hazel Sedei, Zoe Sedei, Eve Eisenberg, Ian Hoernle and Henry Duffy, her step great grandchildren, Trent and Zachary Waterman, her siblings, Stephen “Whitey” Nehila (Rosemary) and Timothy Nehila (Sarah) and her many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Susan was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Nehila and her sister, Margaret “Peggy” Vargo.

A Viewing is to be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 6 to 8 PM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM, the following morning, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Saint Mary’s Church, 830 5th Ave, Alpha, NJ. The interment will then be in the Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Alpha, NJ.
