Theodore (Ted) J. Haussner
Theodore (Ted) J. Haussner of Sun City, Arizona, has gone to be with the Lord on February 21st, 2022. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was born September 7th, 1929 in New York City to Clara and Teddy Haussner. He attended The New York School of Industrial Arts for photography and proudly served in the U.S. Army & Air Force (including Honor Guard service at Arlington), and was stationed in Goose Bay, Labrador.
He met his wife, Ellen Walsh, on a blind date and was happily married in 1956 until her passing in December 2000. They had three children together: Rosemarie, Ellen, and Teddy. They lived in Milltown, NJ for many years where he owned a successful photography studio that specialized in family, wedding, landscape and architectural photography. Later in life, he and his wife resided in Pocono Farms, and were Arizona snowbirds.
Some of his favorite hobbies included: traveling, golf, baseball, fishing, watching classic films, musicals, attending car shows, playing card games, casinos and more!
He was a proud Pop-Pop to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son (Theodore J. Haussner), daughter (Ellen Haussner) and by his long-time partner, Kay Talbot who passed in 2019.
He is survived by his daughter, Rosemarie Lorenzen and spouse, Eric.
Grandchildren: Andrew Lorenzen, James Helmick (wife: Katharina), Elizabeth Hazlett (husband: Justin), Christopher Lorenzen (wife: Angela), William “Billy” Haussner, M.D. (wife: Danielle M.D.), Daniel and Lucas Lorenzen.
Great-grandchildren: William & Nolan Helmick and Evelyn & Bentley Hazlett.
A Viewing will be held from 8:45 to 9:25 AM on Monday, February 28th, 2022, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 2nd Avenue, Alpha, NJ, followed by a Funeral Mass occurring at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alpha, NJ. The interment will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Alpha, NJ.
