William R. Noto

William R. Noto, 71, of Lopatcong Township, NJ passed away on March 13, 2022, at his residence.  Born May 18, 1950, in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Russell Noto and Leona Phillips Noto.

Bill was most recently employed by the Township of Lopatcong. He was a graduate of Phillipsburg High school Class of 1968 and Iowa State University.  Bill’s true passion, aside from his beloved cats Lucy, Bentley and Butler, was Phillipsburg High School football.  In 2014 he founded Glory Days™, an annual dinner dance for ‘old time‘ football players and cheerleaders from both Easton and Phillipsburg High Schools.  These alumni gather to commemorate all the good times they had on the football fields they loved so much. 

Survivors are his brother Joseph Noto of Broadway, NJ, aunt Anna Schooley of Anchorage, AK, his long-time companion Diane Harnett of Lopatcong, her four children Suzanne, Julie, Kimberly and Matthew and four grandchildren Maura, Mckenna, Madison and Tyler.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 1PM to 3PM at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gateway Regional Rescue, 803 Hwy 57, Stewartsville, NJ, 08886.
