Jane Louise Daiello

Jane Louise Daiello, 85, of Palmer Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2023, while on home hospice, surrounded by family.

Born on March 25, 1938, in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Ponsford and Claire (Tirrell) Kays. Jane attended St. Phillips & St. James Catholic School. She then attended Mass at both St. Janes and St. Anthony’s churches. She was a devoted catholic who was always praying for her family and friends.

Jane met the love of her life, Cosimo, at the Easton Sweet Shop, where they loved to hangout. Together they had two children, Rosemarie Rodger and David Daiello. During their time together Jane was a caretaker for her mother, Claire, for 21 years, until her passing in 1981.

Jane loved socializing with her friends at her apartment. She loved playing cards and board games, especially Parcheesi, with her family. She loved attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events, as well as going to Palmer Days. Jane looked forward to the 4th of July parties at her brother’s house where she spent time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband, Cosimo, and her siblings, Jack Kays, Sister Mary Eloise Claire Kays, Charles Kays and Eugene Kays. She is survived by her loving children, Rosemarie Rodger (Howard) and David (Heidi) Daiello, who she resided with, her brother, Phil Kays and his wife, Dorothy, of Phillipsburg, NJ, her five grandchildren, her six great grandchildren and a grand puppy, Jack, who she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Russell Daiello and her sister-in-law, Grace Daiello, of Easton, PA, along with her many nieces and nephews.

A Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Palmer Township, PA. An additional Viewing Period is set for the following morning, Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church, 900 Washington St, Easton, PA. The interment will then be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Township, PA.
