Tyler Anthony Kohl

Tyler Anthony Kohl, 27, of Easton, PA, passed away on February 12, 2023. He was a 2015 graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School. 

Tyler was a dedicated and skilled athlete who played football, baseball, and soccer before discovering his true passion in basketball. 

As a member of the WeR1 AAU basketball team from 2013-2015, he earned invitations to the AAU National Championship and the J.E.M. All-Star Classic. 

He received an Associate degree from Mineral Area College in 2017, where he played for the Cardinals.

He attended Central Connecticut State University from 2017-2019, and played for the Blue Devils, where he surpassed 1,000 career points, and was a six-time NEC Player Of The Week. In his senior year, he was the only player in the league to rank in the Top 10 in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals. He earned Second Team All-NEC honors. 

Tyler cherished his family and his son, Gabriel, and enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters. He was a loving caretaker for his great-grandmother, Marie Shafer, in her final years. 

He is survived by son, Gabriel Morales; father, Anthony Ross (wife Sejonia); brothers Anthony Jr. (wife Venice), Princeston (wife Cynthia), Aris, and Tashawn; sisters Demetria and Morgan; grandparents Linda and Lyndon Kohl and Beatrice Ross; and uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by mother Kimberly Kohl, and sister, Taylor. 

Visiting hours will be held at Greater Shiloh Church (403 Pastor Fred Davis St, Easton) on Monday, February 20 at 12pm. A service will follow at 1pm. The Finegan Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Donations may be made on GoFundMe.com by searching https://gofund.me/f69841d5
