Thomas Edward Barlow, 84, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at St. Luke’s Warren Campus.
Born on February 5, 1940 to Clinton Fredrick Barlow and Margaret Rose Williams Barlow. He was preceded in death by his brother Clinton Fredrick Barlow “Corny”, Jr., Charles “Ike” Barlow, Joseph Barlow, James (Jimmy) Barlow, his sisters Margaret Barlow Jesse ‘Peggy”, Patricia “Ann” Barlow Shay, Louise Barlow.
Tom is survived by his wife of 36 years, and together for 46 years, Lucille Gill Barlow of Phillipsburg, NJ, his children, Thomas Edward Gill and his wife Kimberly of Williamsburg, VA., Dwayne Edward Barlow, Christopher Lee Barlow, Jack Cleo Barlow, all of Phillipsburg, NJ. Melissa May Gill of Easton, Pa., Sarah Elizabeth Barlow of Washington, NJ., his grandchildren, Zachary Micheal Lee Carswell of Gravel Switch, KY, Phillip Matthew Carswell Sullivan of Willowick, Ohio, Kristen Cecilia Gill of Williamsburg, VA, Shackia Adallas Sullivan, Terry Scott Sullivan, Jr., Anthony Joseph Sullivan, all of Phillipsburg, NJ, Arrianna Lynn Gill, Amariah Grace Wilts of Easton, Pa., brother-in-law to George and Doreen Gill of Flemington, NJ, Walter and Christine Knickerbocker of Irving, Texas, brothers, Louis “Lemon” and Sheila Barlow of Trenton, NJ, Vernon Barlow, of Lambertville, NJ, sisters, Betty Lou Barlow McCoy of Flemington, NJ, Ruthie Barlow of Asheboro, N.C., Edith Sheila Barlow Lacey of Trenton, NJ, sister-in-law Martha Barlow of Burlington, NJ, Several hundreds of nieces and nephews and great-great uncles.
He worked for Roy D. Myers, Sr. Logging, did paving for Roy D. Myers, Jr., “Buddy”, worked for Lehigh Fluid Power for 12 years. Tom lived in Lambertville, NJ, moved to Phillipsburg, NJ, in 1990 and then worked for Laneco Market, McDonald’s, Aharts Market upon retiring in 2004. Tom had a passion for being a junkman (scrapper) he also loved mowing lawns, fishing, dancing collecting Hess trucks and old automobiles. Tom was a number one fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and John Wayne. He was always happy loved to have fun. Most of all, Tom was always there when someone needed help. He was loving, caring devoted to his family. Tom had a few sayings, Tomthumb is number one, have no fear Tom Barlow is here, and your trash is my cash.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St. Phillipsburg, NJ., followed by a Memorial Service at 11 A.M.
