Joanne Drake LaFleur

Joanne Drake LaFleur, 73, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022 with her loving family by her side. 

Born on February 11, 1949 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John L. Drake Sr. and Gladys E. (Lefler) Drake.

Joanne graduated from Phillipsburg High School and retired as Deli/Bakery & Seafood Manager with A&P / Super Fresh Food Stores.  Joanne was a great mother and a friend to everyone. She was a strong, hardworking, and selfless woman that put other’s needs in front of hers.  She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.  Joanne was very talented in the kitchen, a great quilter and enjoyed many arts and crafts.  She also enjoyed listening and dancing to oldies music.  Joanne was a member of the Silver Sneakers at the Easton YMCA where she made many friends.

Joanne is survived by her son, Richard William Johnson, his wife Lynne and granddaughters Isabelle Erin and Emma Grace of Monroeville, NJ, and her son Randy Wade Johnson, his wife Darby and granddaughters Hailey Ann, Karley Jean and Audrey Rose of Fort Mill, SC. Joanne also leaves behind her brother George Drake and his wife Linda; nieces Joan Pierce and Allison Sisto and nephews Daniel Drake, Kevin Drake, her cousin Cinda Blackwell, and many other nieces, nephews and dear friends. Along with her parents, Joanne was predeceased in death by her sister, Karen Drake, her brother, John Drake Jr., John's wife, Candace, and her nephew Jesse Delgado.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman St. Phillipsburg, NJ. The family will be welcoming friends and family from 9:30am until time of service.
