Joshua Dean Loudenberry passed away in the evening hours of Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023. He left this world knowing he was loved by his large extended family and friends.
Josh was born on April 2, 1982 in Phillipsburg, NJ. He grew up in the Town of Phillipsburg and went through the Phillipsburg school system graduating from Phillipsburg High School in 2000. He continued his education at Monmouth University graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree as a History major in 2006. Joshua went back to school after some time off and received a Master’s Degree from Centenary College.
Joshua played many sports as a kid: baseball, football & wrestling. He ran Cross Country at PHS for Coach Rick Thompson and played baseball for three years.
He worked frequently as a substitute teacher for grades K-12. He enjoyed working with the high school level best. He was passionate about teaching, it was his true calling. He was just as passionate about cooking, food, good beers, friends and his family. He will be forever missed by his sister, Sara, brother Tyler, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and friends and family.
Joshua is survived by his mother Lori (DiVittorio) Loudenberry, his sister, Sara Loudenberry and Brandon Deihl, brother, Tyler Loudenberry an fiancé, Skye Kenyon.
He was predeceased by his father, Dan Loudenberry, Uncle Scott Loudenberry along with grandparents, Jack and Barbara Loudenberry.
Calling hours will be held, Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10am-12pm at Finegan’s Funeral Home, 302 Heckman Street, Phillipsburg, NJ. There will be a brief service at Noon by Pastor Kelly of Grace Lutheran Church at the Funeral Home.
