Rose Sabatini

Rose Sabatini, 101, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, passed away on July 28, 2023, in Bethlehem Township, PA.

Born September 19, 1921, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Umberto Savelli and Marie Scottaline Savelli. She was also predeceased by her husband, the late Armondo Sabatini.

Although born in this country, she and her family returned to Italy where she survived the challenges of pre-war Italy. Upon returning, she worked alongside her husband at the Sanco Piece Dye Works in Phillipsburg, NJ, while simultaneously serving in the role of homemaker. Rose and her late husband were also employed together at MC Riccardi, which was in Alpha, NJ following their time at Sanco.

She is survived by her son, Lewis Sabatini, residing in Pohatcong Township. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was also predeceased by brothers Dominic and Gino Savelli, and a sister, the late Leah Ferretti.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 6-8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 924 2nd Avenue in Alpha, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 10:00 am. The interment will be at St. Philip & St. James Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ.
